Sarah Means

Sarah lives in Colorado and Utah and paints primarily in oil with a focus on winter adventures and portraits that convey a story. Her artwork has recently traveled across the US to exhibits in Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and California, also to Dublin and, most impressively, on nano fiche to the moon! 

 

Sarah says her work is focused on communicating themes of identity, illusions, and loneliness through figurative realism with narrative and symbolic elements. Through layers of color, brushstrokes, and veiled fragmentary line, she strives to capture reflective moments, the stories we tell, the conflicts and questions in our lives and what she views as the human aesthetic.
